(Calmly) You know, I'm getting really tired of this. Being up here, demanding your attention, playing pretend just for you. (Annoyed) And for what? All I get out of you are stares, awkward silence and obnoxiously loud. Hand. Claps. That's not what I'm here for, okay? You're not why I'm here. You don't own me. The only thing you own is that ticket in your pocket and the time you wasted deciding on rather or not to make me or break me. (Ridiculous/Sarcastic) Guess what? I'm no longer here to entertain you. Uh-oh, you've came to the wrong program. Sorry- not sorry. (Serious) You see this? This is my stage and it belongs to me. I've earned my spot up here. I control everything that happens on it. My words. My movement. My scene. For all you know, every mistake was made on purpose. -And who are you to say it's not? So listen. . . I don't need your applause, but I accept it. |
