Summary
The movie is set in 1959. Truman Capote, a successful writer for the New Yorker, decides to write an article about a murder that took place in a small town in Kansas. He arranges interviews with the criminals who committed the crime, who are now in prison. One of them is Perry Smith who in this monologue recounts the events that took place the night of the murder.
