Summary
An ambitious and not too successful reporter, Joseph Frady (Warren Beatty), witnesses the assassination of senator along with various reporters and other people. One of the witnesses is reporter Lee Carter (Paula Prentiss), who is afraid for her life when she notices that all the witnesses of that assassination are dying in mysterious ways one after the other.
In this scene a shaken and paranoid Lee Carter meets Joseph in his apartment to tell him she thinks somebody is out to kill her. She tells him about the deaths of the other witnesses but to no avail. He thinks she is overreacting..

INT. JOSEPH FRADY'S APARTMENT-DAY Lee Carter knocks on Joseph's door. He invites her in. LEE: "I hope I am not interrupting." JOSEPH: "You've been calling me?" LEE: "A lot."
